In the next days, Svimed, partner of the Ecolive project, will coordinate the first Training of trainers session, from 6 to 10 September, will be held in the town of Chiaramonte Gulfi (RAGUSA-ITALY), a little town of the South-Est of Sicily, renowned for the production of the excellent PDO “MONTI IBLEI” olive oil, known at international level (http://www.montiblei.com/eng/) http://www.comune.chiaramonte-gulfi.gov.it/olio_chiaramonte
The Training of trainers session will focus on the transition from conventional to organic olive oil farming and production, considered the increasing of demand about organic olive oil, and in general, organic products. During the training session will be tackle specific themes on organic olive cultivation, production and export, such as:
", by the experts of the Consortium of producers EASKI - Kefalonia-Greece;
3. Module "Export and Marketing" module by the experts of the MAKRO training company - Turkey;
4. Module "Labeling, Storage, Packaging, Transport" by the training company EUROSUCCES Cyprus;
5. Module "The economic and environmental benefits deriving from the production of organic olive oil" by the teachers of the Department of Horticulture of the University of Ege - Izmir / Turkey;
6. Module "Olives Local Varieties in Italy - Sicily, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus", which will be dealt with by each partner's experts.

Attached the final program of the Training course, included the details of the Workshop of ARISTOIL, co-funded by INTERREGMED 2014/2020, will be held September 9th, and with the details about the study visits on local olive oil mills, around the countryside of Chiaramonte Gulfi.
